Curtis Baethke
Machinist

Curtis is a St. Louis native and machinist with 10 years at Dugan. He enjoys working on old cars, fishing and collecting vintage glassware, but family is what he’s most proud of. In the shop, Curtis appreciates the challenge and variety of the work—especially knowing the next job probably won’t be the same part he just finished.

Brad Calvin
Journeyman Machinist

Brad is a Journeyman Machinist from Fosterburg, Illinois, with 11 years at Dugan. A craftsman at heart, he takes pride in quality work and close attention to detail. Outside the shop, Brad enjoys golfing, fishing, building motorcycles and attending car shows. What keeps the work interesting is the wide variety of jobs, helping local walk-in customers and working alongside a team he enjoys.

Jennifer Cureton

Office Manager

Jennifer is a Godfrey, Illinois native who has been part of the Dugan team for 11 years. Growing up on an apple orchard taught her early that worthwhile things usually take hard work. Away from work, she enjoys camping, relaxing by the pool and spending time with her grandson. She’s especially proud of her family and appreciates having grown right alongside Dugan over the years.

Paul Holshouser

Inspector/Machinist

Paul is an Inspector/Machinist from Edwardsville, Illinois, with more than 10 years at Dugan. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, playing pool and drums, home projects and helping others. Paul takes pride in providing for his family, treating people well and bringing quality and thoroughness to his work. He especially values his coworkers and the satisfaction that comes from producing parts the team can be proud of.

Scott Johnson

CNC Lathe Machinist

Scott is a CNC Lathe Machinist from Millstadt, Illinois, who has been with Dugan for more than four years. Outside the shop, you’ll usually find him fishing, riding four-wheelers or firing up the smoker—he’s even competed in multiple BBQ competitions. At work, Scott enjoys running serious equipment, tackling interesting jobs and turning raw material into some pretty cool parts.

Mike Kohl

Machinist

Mike is a Godfrey, Illinois native and machinist who has spent 10 years with Dugan. He enjoys fishing with his kids—especially now that they’re old enough to bait their own hooks—and golfing, despite freely admitting it isn’t exactly his strongest skill. Mike takes pride in sticking with a difficult job until he finds a solution, and he especially enjoys Dugan’s steady stream of one-off work and new challenges.

Sean Pontow

Machinist

Sean is a machinist from Wood River who joined Dugan five months ago. Family and self-improvement are big priorities for him, and his interests go well beyond machining—he’s also a junior game developer and holds an aviation license. In the shop, Sean enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a job through from start to finish and watching a simple piece of metal become a finished part.

Zachary Russell

Manual Machinist

Zachary is a Manual Machinist from Granite City, Illinois, approaching two years with Dugan. His free time stays pretty full with his wife and four kids, playing music, riding bikes, snowboarding, coaching baseball and catching live shows. He can also juggle and backflip a BMX bike—just not at the same time. At Dugan, he enjoys the variety and the opportunity to create and build something different.

Rylee Staley

Part-Time Team Member

Rylee is from Collinsville, Illinois, and has spent two summers working with the Dugan team. Outside of work, Rylee enjoys spending time with friends and family—especially her sister—and has a serious interest in Rubik’s Cubes, including a growing collection and improving solve times. She’s enjoyed how much she has learned from the people at Dugan and the relationships she’s built along the way.

Jeremy Tolbert

Journeyman Machinist

Jeremy is a Journeyman Machinist from Jerseyville, Illinois, who has been with Dugan for 16 months. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with his wife and kids. He takes pride in both his family and the work he produces. For Jeremy, one of the best parts of machining is using his hands to make parts that help keep other companies moving.

Derek Valstad

Machine Operator 2

Derek is a Machine Operator 2 from Jerseyville, Illinois, who joined Dugan four months ago. Away from work, he enjoys motorcycle riding and racing, and he also happens to be a twin. He’s most proud of his 13-year-old son. At Dugan, Derek enjoys being part of the process that solves problems, produces needed parts and helps keep customers moving.

Brett Waters

Shop Foreman

Brett is a Plainview, Illinois native who has been with Dugan since 2014 and now serves as Shop Foreman. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, working on cars and building and tuning LS engines. Brett takes particular pride in Dugan’s ability to turn around emergency breakdown work quickly and get customers back up and running. Above all, he enjoys the people he works with.
